We were approached by Design Distillery, a design agency based in Chichester who asked us to develop this new eCommerce website for leading marine, auto and hotel refrigeration supplier Penguin Refrigeration.

They had an existing eCommerce website, however it looked out-of-date and needed to look more professional. We also suggested developing a customised system builder which would let end-users select core system pieces and design their own refrigeration system that they could then order online.

We developed the website on our StrawberrySystem bespoke CMS and developed numerous modules that fitted around their existing business processes. The end result is a beautiful looking website, a powerful CMS and a platform that will help Penguin Refrigeration increase their online sales and improve their business image.

We have just finished a branding and website project for Eco Global Markets, an international boutique investment firm based in the City. We were asked to design a new brand for this professional and unique business as well as develop their new CMS based website. We then concentrated on designing their marketing literature and brochures.

We have been working closely with Tennyson Insurance to design and build their new website http://www.tennysoninsurance.co.uk. The new website has been designed with the core aim of making their charity insurance products easier to understand and buy. Embedded video has been used to improve usability and guide users through there journey on the Tennyson website.

Tennyson Insurance were keen to help and assist their charity based customers and decided to design and develop an information based website to support not-for-profit groups to become compliant quickly, easily and free of charge.

Charity Builder UK guides charities through key areas from Human Resources to Health & Safety and helps them produce documents such as contracts, policies, job descriptions as well as practical guides to insurance, governance and volunteering.

This is the first website from a series of projects that we have been working really hard on lately!

We won the project after tendering and pitching against 160 other agencies from across the country and we are really pleased with the end result, which is fully content managed and controlled by StrawberrySystem, our very own content management system.

Derby Homes Limited is an arm’s length management organisation – ALMO created by Derby City Council to manage, maintain and improve its council houses and estates.  The organisation is non-profit making and it does not pay dividends to any shareholders.  It is 100% owned and controlled by Derby City Council.

In April 2002 responsibility for managing council homes in Derby moved from Derby City Council over to Derby Homes, along with over 300 staff from the then Council’s Housing Services Department.

Over the years, accountancy has been stereotyped as a traditional and old-fashioned industry. When it came to cutting edge design, it was our job to bring the online presence of Morris Crocker up to speed.

Morris Crocker already had a well established and contemporary brand, however the existing website did not do it any justice. Inconsistent colours, fonts and general untidy layouts gave both potential and existing customers the wrong impression of Morris Crocker.

We designed and developed their new site from the ground up. We focused it around what their audience actually wanted to do, rather than what we thought they wanted to do. This resulted in important areas like news, contact and services becoming very prominent.

Wind Creations is part of the JVR Portfolio, an exciting & innovative group of retail brands based in the heart of Buckinghamshire. In addition to their Wind Creations brand, they also have Mister Juggles, RC Wonders & Sky High Kites all of which are based in Aylesbury.

We were asked to design and develop their 4th website following the same structure as their other websites. By using StrawberrySystem as their base, this task was easy and we created a new, exciting and unique design which further improves sales conversions.

The team at Wind Creations have over 15 years experience in retail and we want to assure all our customers, old and new, that Customer Service is our Number 1 priority. They have supplied many large organisations, such as the Channel 5 Gadget Show, Channel 4 Big BrotherHouse, Caledonian Airways, and many local schools, clubs and event organisers.

We love the design community and the people, agencies and places that everyone works. With this in mind, we launched WhereWeDesign in January 2010 – a new community whereby creative people can share where they work.

The response to date has been fantastic. We have had submissions from graphic designers, architects, web designers, musicians, interior designers and various other creative people who wanted to share their spaces as inspiration to others. There has been lots of activity on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter.

At the peak of its traffic to date, the website attracted 10,000 visits in one day following a featured on @smashingmag whereby the server crashed due to the levels of traffic that the website received! We are also really proud of the response the website has received from the blogging community, with many personal blogs featuring the website and recommending users to submit their workspaces.

Denise Kelly, as a Nutritional Therapist provides personal, professional and unique advice on how anyone can improve the quality of their health. She can help deal with chronic or acute diseases, help with boosting the immune system, increase energy levels, enthusiasm and vibrancy for life.

As this was a completely new business venture, Denise Kelly needed full branding together with a vibrant but simple website.

The entire Denise Kelly (or DK) brand comprises of 2 other brands, K4 Fit Kidz and The Fridge Detective. Although all 3 brands are within the health and fitness sector, each offers something different.

Although the website part of this project was relatively small, it was the branding and ‘voice’ that proved to be the biggest challenge. As this was a new business a huge amount of consultation between Strawberrysoup and Denise Kelly occurred. Understanding the direction of the business was key to developing a great looking website.

Culinary Travels of a Kitchen Godess is a popular food blog written by dedicated foodie Georgina Ingham.

We were approached and asked to redesign her blog as it needed to be updated visually. The blog was using off-the-shelf WordPress themes, and it was time to give the site a unique feel of its own.

The blog is incredibly popular, and receives thousands of visits a week from users who love the way that Georgina writes about food, cooks and creates recipes. From a design perspective the blog had to capture Georgina’s natural flair for food and entice users into revisiting again and again. It also had to publicise her Twitter, Facebook and RSS feeds.

Since launch a few days ago, the feedback to date has been very positive and Georgina is very proud of her new blog. We wish her continued success in 2010!

Being a graphic and web design agency, we love design. Dennis and McGregor is a new business that we decided to start, selling “design-led products for living” online.

The concept behind the website was simple – we wanted a well designed and usable eCommerce website to sell design-led products. We also wanted a platform that we could use to showcase our eCommerce platform – to show potential customers what it can do.

We had many discussions within the team about the functionality that the website should offer both us and our end users. We use various other web-based applications, and the main requirement was to link to these as well as add value through new functionality.

As a result, the new Dennis and McGregor website links automatically to eBay, Amazon, XERO and 37Signal’s Highrise – which helps maintain the accounts and fulfilment process. From an end user perspective, we wanted to give users a range of value add services, including wish-lists, reviews and the ability to follow our blog/news – which we aim to keep up to date weekly.

We are really proud of this new website. Not only from a design perspective, but from comments that we have had from customers to date. They find the website simple to navigate, easy to purchase and enjoy the fact that we love the products as much as they do!
